Humanity has never had such great access to abundance of resources.
It will take the efforts of many to solve the current situation, but we have recently been to Calais and built 5 shelters, housing 4-6 each as winter approaches. Our target is to build 100 by Christmas.

This initial fundraising is to build the first 20 shelters, and will be a direct and positive influence. These people, for whatever reason have felt it necessary to abandon their lives, homes and homeland in search of a safer/better life. They are living in terrible and increasingly cold, wet conditions. If the dice fell differently this could have been us. We are reaching out and helping them.
We will all be able to see the tangible and immediate difference we will have made to families in Calais. We will keep updating on the progress of this so please follow this blog. The people we give a home too may wish to share their thanks via a message back to the page too. The great thing about this project is a shelter is built in around half a day so the impact is positive & real within a matter of hours!
