CALAIS: A HOME FOR WINTER

A Home For Winter creates shelters for people who have been displaced by conflict, poverty and natural disasters. We provide warm, dry, secure shelters that restore basic human dignity and enable people to begin rebuilding their lives. To do this we work with regional partner organisations across Europe to provide an early response in areas where there would otherwise be little or no other assistance.

The majority of displaced people currently entering Europe have been forced to abandon their homes in fear for their lives. They, like all of us, simply hope to have some kind of future. Most have endured tremendous hardship and are now living in appalling conditions. If the dice had fallen differently this could have been us - we feel compelled to do whatever we can to help them.
